When we hear the name of “Tiger”, we may feel scared, but do you know, nowadays, there are three kinds of tigers which have become extinct. They are the Bali tiger which became extinct in 1940, the Caspian in 1970, and the Javan in 1980. There are currently five species of tigers alive, and facing a very high risk of extinction in the wild. Firstly, the weather becomes hotter. Secondly, people usually poach animals in the wild and some of the wild tigers can’t find enough food to eat. Thirdly, people poach tigers to make money, such as:
1. Their bones are used to cure arthritis.
2. Their eyeballs are used to cure epilepsy.
3. Their skins are used as a coat.
……
When you wear a fur coat have you ever thought of tigers?
If one day your daughter or son asks “Where is the tiger” how can we explained this?
Tigers are endangered, please preserve the tigers.
