Salad Garden Project - planning

With a wet and windy January now behind us, we can start to get a little excited about the seeds we will be sowing this month. Students too are beginning to think about their salad garden and how it will take shape with the crops they want to grow. Fortunately, last Thursday was a fine day to work in the garden – lots of sunshine!! F2 had the task of levelling the soil, moving it from one area to another, creating suitable conditions to sow seeds into. They also removed large stones, perennial roots and the occasional toad, which were relocated to a safer position. F3 got to work, measuring the site to draw a scale plan of the area, which will be used to determine how the rotation will work in the salad garden. So much progress has been made with this project – it’s really exciting seeing it evolve! Check out how it looks at the moment.
